The then 61-year-old was last sighted by police in Tully, Queensland, when he ran from a vehicle police which had attempted to intercept him.
Police believe his is likely to be in a relationship and living in a rural area in Australia. He has welding, beekeeping, hydroponics, aquaponics, gold prospecting and earth moving skills, and is most likely to look for work as a caretaker, farm hand or outback station hand.
A $100,000 reward for information leading to his capture was announced in 2011 and remains in place.
